Debit Cards
The MasterMoney® Check Card offers the convenience of a debit card and ATM card all in one! Use your MasterMoney Check Card just like a regular ATM card to perform ATM transactions all over the world. Your card is valid at more than 800,000 ATMs worldwide that display the Cirrus, NYCE, STAR, Pulse, Plus and Shazam logos. In addition, you have access to an additional 31,900 surcharge-free ATMs through the CO-OP and Alliance One networks. But that’s not all…you can also make purchases from any merchant who accepts MasterCard. Your card works like a credit card, but your purchases are deducted right from your United Consumers checking account. Now that’s account accessibility!
Savings Accounts
Business Regular Share (Savings) Account
Every member of United Consumers is an owner just by opening a basic Savings Account. Because of this, the regular Savings Account commonly is called a Share Account. Regular savings are the cornerstone of sound financial management for any business. The credit union offers tiered accounts that earn quarterly dividends, based on your average daily balance.
Money Market Accounts
A Money Market account is an alternative to a regular Savings Account for those who would like to earn a higher rate of interest, but still maintain immediate access to their funds. You can open a Classic Money Market Account with just $2,500, and you will earn a fixed-rate of interest. A Preferred Money Market Account requires a minimum investment of $10,000 and pays a tiered rate of interest...the higher your balance, the more you earn. You can make up to three check withdrawals per month with either account.
CDs
A United Consumers CD is a great alternative to the volatile stock market. Invest as little as $500 for terms from six to 60 months. Dividends can be added to your certificate, paid out to you by check each month or deposited to the share account of your choice.
SEP IRAs
Simplified Employee Pension plans are an easy way for self-employed persons, sole proprietors, partnerships, small businesses and corporations to offer retirement plans to their employees. Contributions are made to the traditional IRAs of eligible employees, up to 25% of your annual income, with a maximum of $49,000.00. For maximum flexibility, several contribution options are available to employers. Contact UCCU to learn more about our SEP IRA options.
