Checking
Our free Classic Checking account features no minimum balance requirements, no monthly service charges, and no per-check fees. The free Silver VIP Checking Account includes no minimum balance requirements, no monthly or per-check fees and other benefits. All of our checking accounts offer unlimited check writing privileges, as well as the convenience of our ATM card, MasterMoney Check Card and Courtesy Pay. Courtesy Pay
It’s like a safety net for your checking account! Courtesy Pay from UCCU can honor your check, up to a maximum preset limit, even if you’re short on checking funds. That means you’ll save money and embarrassment, should you ever accidentally overdraw your account.
MasterMoney Check Card
The MasterMoney Check Card offers the convenience of a debit card and ATM card all in one! Use it just like a regular ATM card to perform ATM transactions all over the world. You can also make purchases from any merchant who accepts MasterCard. Your card works like a credit card, but your purchases are deducted right from your United Consumers checking account. With CU Anywhere, you can check account balances, review and print statement history, verify cleared checks, view checks you have written, make transfers between accounts, transfer funds to make loan payments, and more. CU Pay allows you to pay bills individually, schedule individual bills for payment for a future date, set up recurring payments with virtually any merchant, plus much more!
All you need is your account number and your MAC24 PIN (Personal Identification Number) on the CU Anywhere login. Click on the “CU Pay” option at the top of the page and you can begin paying your bills electronically. You can even download the information into MS Money or Quicken.
*The first 90 days are free when you sign up for CU Pay. After 90 days, the monthly fee is only $5.95 for individual members and $9.95 for businesses.
MAC24 Audio Response Service – (816) 461-3925
For 24 hour a day, seven day a week access to all your credit union accounts, use MAC24. With MAC24, you can check account balances, see if a check has cleared, make a loan payment, and more. Plus, it’s easy, convenient and free. Apply today for your MAC24 PIN (Personal Identification Number).
Free Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction
With Direct Deposit, your paycheck, Social Security or other government check is automatically deposited into your credit union account every payday. Now, there’s no need to drive to the credit union to deposit your check! (Please check with your employer concerning their participation in direct deposit).
Payroll Deduction allows you to make loan payments and make deposits in your Christmas Club, checking or other savings accounts automatically.
Business Checking Account
United Consumers also offers business checking accounts to help keep your business-related finances convenient. Contact the credit union for more information.
Second Chance Checking*
Our Second Chance Checking Account can help you establish a successful banking relationship regardless of past credit problems. Instead of paying payday lenders or check-cashing companies an average of 400% interest (the industry average), you pay just $10 per month for unlimited check writing. After 12 months of successfully managing your Second Chance Checking Account, you can request that your status be reviewed and switched over to a regular checking account. That can save you even more money, and open the door to a variety of other credit union services and benefits.
*Individuals with a record of fraud on the Chex System report and those who have caused a loss at UCCU are not eligible. . Direct Deposit of your paycheck is required if offered by your employer. Maximum holds as allowed by law will be placed on all checks (other than verifiable payroll checks or other guaranteed fund checks). Debit/ATM Card and Courtesy Pay do not apply. Other terms and conditions will be disclosed at the time you open the account.
